Spring Wedding Inspiration from the Spark Retreat Workshop
This past April, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Spark Retreat Photography Workshop hosted by Caitlin and Luke Photography and Rachael Schirano Photography. From start to finish, it was an inspiring experience—filled with connection, creativity, and hands-on learning.
If you saw my last blog post, you’ll remember the beautiful engagement session styled shoot. Today, I’m sharing part two of the workshop: a dreamy spring wedding styled shoot filled with soft florals, elegant details, and so much inspiration.
To begin with, this styled shoot was packed with thoughtful details and creative design. The peach and pink color palette was perfect for spring—light, romantic, and timeless. From the bouquet to the tablescape, every element worked together beautifully.
For example, the cake by Pollen and Pastry featured delicate macarons and elegant floral accents. It was both playful and sophisticated—just what you want for a spring wedding. Likewise, the florals by Vera & Buck Floral Studio were absolutely stunning. The soft textures, warm tones, and organic shapes added so much beauty to the scene.
In addition, the table settings, stationery, and bridal styling all worked together to tell a cohesive visual story. Shoots like this are more than just photo opportunities—they’re full of fresh ideas that couples can use for their own weddings.
Styled shoots help photographers stay creative, inspired, and technically sharp. They give us space to try new ideas, refine our skills, and collaborate with talented vendors. Most importantly, they help us build the kind of portfolio that attracts our dream clients.
Every time I photograph a styled shoot, I walk away feeling refreshed and ready to create even more beauty for my couples.
One of the most valuable parts of this workshop was learning from Caitlin, Luke, and Rachael. Their openness, generosity, and experience made such a difference.
Photography mentors matter more than most people realize. When someone further along in their journey shares their knowledge, it shortens your learning curve. You gain confidence, clarity, and a better understanding of how to grow—both as a business and an artist.
Because of them, I walked away with new tools, better workflows, and a deeper belief in myself as a photographer. Learning from mentors is an investment that pays off again and again. It’s not just about technical tips—it’s about mindset, purpose, and building a sustainable, joyful business.
Thanks to this retreat, I feel so ready for the upcoming season. I can’t wait to apply everything I learned—to serve my couples even better and bring more intentional artistry to their wedding days.
