Kara and Louie’s St. Louis Wedding

One of the sweetest couples I know got married this fall. We were watching the weather the entire week before the wedding, and I’m all for a good storm… just not when it’s going to impact a wedding day! We had been hoping all week that the rain would disappear but it didn’t…. and you know what…. IT WAS TOTALLY FINE! Kara and Louie had the rainiest of rainy wedding days, but it didn’t dampen their spirits! They were just happy to be tying the knot! We were taking bridal party portraits before the reception, and Kara’s like, ditch the umbrella! So ditch the umbrella we did, and the most amazing portraits resulted! Dare I say bring on more rainy wedding days!?!?!

The day was centered around friends and family, and Kara’s attention to detail was so evident all throughout. Kara hired a massage therapist so all of her bridesmaids could start the day stress-free and relaxed. She also did almost all of of the flowers herself, with a little help from Dooley’s for the boutonnières and corsages. They looked simply amazing! The way she mixed the colors and the textures, oh my goodness, all of the arrangements were so beautiful! I could go on and on about Kara, and what a great friend she is, but I can’t forget to gush about Louie! He has such a big heart, and is always, always quick to give a hug!

It was also really important for Kara and Louie to include their boys. They were ring bearers, and even had their oldest walk Kara part ways down the aisle. To top it all off, they included a mini birthday celebration during the reception for Big E’s 6th birthday!

I felt so honored that I was the one entrusted with capturing the memories of this day!! I’m so excited to share Kara and Louie’s big day with you!!
