I can’t wait to share Carlos and Amanda’s engagement portraits with you! This fun Central Library engagement session was definitely something different and it was a GREAT time. I actually met Amanda through my mom, they used to work together. So, when she reached out about having me capture their portraits, I was so excited to say yes and spend more time with her and Carlos. We talked back and forth about where to have their engagement photos but finally settled on Central Library, in downtown St. Louis. And I’m SO glad we did! Like many couples, they’ve had to reschedule their wedding day so I hope that these portraits were a bright spot in the last year for them!
Central Library Engagement Session
The library turned out to be a very romantic place. I loved getting the chance to explore with these two and watch them together. Central Library is just gorgeous and truly allowed me to be creative in how we photographed their session. Inside, the library has a good mix of classic and modern touches so it kept things interesting! Amanda and Carlos were great sports – laughing and talking the whole time. I know portraits don’t always feel like the most natural thing in the world, but they were amazing!
After we explored inside among the stacks for a bit, we headed outdoors. Central Library has a gorgeous fountain and small garden area. It was the perfect way to end Carlos and Amanda’s portraits. I love the joy and happiness that was SO clear between Amanda and Carlos throughout their whole session. Despite all the setbacks to having their wedding day, they’re just happy to be together – and that’s what’s so beautiful about love.
