Intimate Wedding Day Inspiration | Apple Blossom Styled Shoot

Wedding

Sep 1, 2021

Over the last year and a half, intimate wedding days have become more popular. As an introvert myself, I have to admit that I welcome the normalization of small, intimate gatherings for wedding celebrations. For a long time, bigger weddings have been commonplace and a way to celebrate love. Thanks to COVID-19, smaller weddings are increasing in popularity and I want to show my couples that no matter the size of your wedding day, you can truly have a beautiful experience! I loved being able to document this Apple Blossom wedding day styled shoot at Pierce Century Farm. It was a great reminder that these smaller celebrations can be just as incredible as a big day!

Why Smaller Weddings Aren’t a Bad Thing!

Intimate weddings come with some big advantages. One of the biggest is that you can actually take your budget and put it where it matters most to you! With a smaller guest list, you can actually take your budget and maybe create the floral display of your dreams or invest more in your photographer. Whatever it is you’re dreaming of, you have some more flexibility now! For this shoot, we were able to really create an elaborate bouquet for the bride and stunning reception setup.

Another great reason to keep your wedding small and intimate? Guest list decisions become easier! No more worrying about which old coworker is invited and which isn’t! With fewer decisions, wedding planning becomes way less stressful too. Who can beat that?!

One of my other favorite perks of smaller weddings is the chance to make them more unique. With a smaller head count, you can look into venues you might not have been able to consider before, like this orchard on Pierce Century Farm. That means your wedding day is going to be even more personalized and true to you! And again, with those unique locations, you can potentially invest in more luxurious decor (or meals!) to bring life to your perfect setting.

Whatever you decide for your wedding day, I hope that this styled shoot inspires you to create an experience and look that you absolutely love for your celebration!
