Here we are, January 1, 2020! 2019 was an amazing year for my business! Like, really amazing! I made a goal of shooting 5 weddings, and I surpassed it by shooting 6! Six weddings may not seem like a lot, but I went from 1 in 2018 to 6 in 2019. So, I’d say that’s pretty considerable progress!

To say that I’m thankful for my clients would be an understatement, but I just don’t know how else to say it! They trusted me with one of the most important days of their lives, and I couldn’t be more grateful. In some instances, I was with the brides more than their grooms were during the day! Working one-on-one with my couples is so very special, and one of my favorite things about photography. I think that’s why so many of my favorite photos are bride and groom photos.

My 2019 word of the year was supposed to be simple. But it sure felt a whole lot more like hustle than simple. As I think about it today, 2020’s word of the year should be rest. But, since I just cleaned up an explosion of slime that covered half of the bathroom, two girls from head to toe, and as much as I tried to avoid it, me, I’m not sure how realistic a year of rest will be. With a four and five year old running around, anything is possible. Cheers to a fantastic 2019!
