Kelly and Matt are married! They planned the most gorgeous fall wedding on one of the most popular dates of the season: 10/10/2020. With all of the rescheduling happening thanks to COVID-19, I almost didn’t get to be a part of this wedding day but thankful it all worked out. I had been scheduled to second shoot another photographer that same day but they rescheduled. Not long after, I got a referral for a couple looking for someone to capture their backyard wedding – and it was Kelly! I’m so happy that I got to be a part of their special backyard wedding in Godfrey IL!

The newlyweds chose to plan a romantic wedding day at Matt’s family home. It was such a relaxed day, I know everyone had a great time. Their family and friends were so happy to see the two married on such a magical day. All afternoon long we had the most beautiful light streaming through the trees. It seriously made all of their ceremony and family portraits GORGEOUS! Like many wedding days, their family was the center of the whole day. Not only were they married at Matt’s childhood home but Kelly’s dad actually married them. And to top it off, Matt’s sister made cheesecake for their reception, which is a family tradition too. I’m honestly kind of still in awe of how beautifully they celebrated their families on their wedding day. It just shows you how incredible Kelly and Matt are.
