If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this whole pandemic is that people are resilient – and my couples especially are resilient. Greg and Livia’s story is one of triumph. And a reminder that love will always matter most. Wedding days are beautiful and important, but all that really matters in the end is that you’re married! I’m so happy I got to capture Greg and Livia’s winter Forest Park engagement session… the day before they got married!! It was a sweet (and rainy) session to celebrate the almost newlyweds – and I LOVED every moment of it.
Greg and Livia used to live in St. Louis, so a Forest Park engagement session made sense. Since their wedding date was changed around due to COVID, we wound up capturing these portraits the DAY before they got married this December. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be at their new wedding date, so I was extra thankful I could still do these winter portraits. Greg and Livia were troopers. The entire time we explored the park, it was raining. But, they smiled and danced, celebrating the fact that they were almost married. I think I’ll always remember their joy during this session most of all.
I’m still obsessed with Livia’s look for the portraits. She chose a gorgeous classic white gown with a bit of sparkle that stood out perfectly. And she had a beautiful wrap since it was a bit chilly with the rain. And Greg’s classic blue suit was a great pop of color for their portraits through the park!
Their wedding day was small and intimate with family and a few close friends, but I know they were just happy to be married! Congratulations again, Livia and Greg! I know this whole process has been hard but you’re amazing and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
